Our Client Suffers An Elevator Accident
Our client, a sweet caretaker from Haiti, was caring for her patient at the patient’s condominium residence in Aventura, Florida. After she was done working for the day, our client got into the elevator to go 下载一个安徽福彩. That is when her whole life turned upside down. After the elevator door closed, suddenly and without warning the elevator conveyor belt broke causing the elevator to drop at least one floor in a free fall. The elevator then smashed into the ground level causing everyone in the elevator to be thrown in and about like rag dolls. Not knowing what to do, she called the Elevator Accident Attorneys Dell and Schaefer. Our firm jumped to the rescue!
Our Client Undergoes Treatment
Fortunately, our client did not suffer any life threatening injuries. She did not even break any bones. However, her neck and back were sore after suffering a free fall of at least one floor. Our client sought the medical care of a local chiropractor. The chiropractor diagnosed a sprain strain to the neck and back and placed her on an intense physical therapy regimen. The MRI showed multi-level herniations up and down her spine. Since our client never had any preexisting conditions or prior accidents, our firm was steadfast in our belief that the elevator accident was the proximate cause of her injuries.
Dell and Schaefer Negotiate A Settlement
After the treatment finished, our firm filed a bodily injury demand for the insurance company of the condominium association. Fortunately our firm was able to retrieve other evidence that the elevators had malfunctioned before, and the association was therefore aware of the dangerous condition. After a lengthy negotiation, the case settled for $100,000. Our client, who once was in free fall in an elevator, was now singing Tom Petty’s famous song “Free Fallin’,” because she was overcome with joy.
